The Joberg2C is a 900km mountain bike race over 9 days and Sibusiso Vilane and Alec Riddle are riding for much more than themselves. They are riding to remember Gugu Zulu, a South African icon who passed away tragically on Mount Kilimanjaro last year (as part of the Trek4Mandela and Caring4Girls expedition) and to raise funds for the Foundation set up to assist with the education of the late Gugu Zulu’s daughter.

In December 2016, a campaign #dowhatyoulove was launched to raise funds for the trust where a team of Mercantile Bank employees attempted to summit Mount Aconcagua. Now a challenge has been put to all to dowhatyoulove in the spirit of raising funds for Lelethu Zulu’s education. All the funds raised will go a long way in providing a good education for Gugu Zulu’s daughter and in the future also benefit other South African children.
